To
install the CyberMouse follow these simple
guidelines:
Hardware
The CyberMouse
comes with two cables attached.
First cable ends in two mini DIN connectors, a
male and a female (They look like a modern
Mouse/Keyboard plug). This cable feeds the
CyberMouse with power.
Second cable ends in a 9way Sub D connector, and
is the serial interface.
Hardware Installation
- Unplug your
mouse or keyboard and put the male mini
DIN connector into the computer.
- Connect the
cable from your mouse or keyboard to the
female mini DIN connector
- Insert the 9
way Sub D connector into an empty serial
port.
After doing this
installation you should see the red led flash for
a moment during startup of windows. (Does not
apply to all versions of 95/98/NT!)
Software
installation
The Cybermouse can
work in either of two modes.
- Native mode (no drivers required/ like
the BasicCard development software)
- PC/SC Mode,
microsoft compatible and accepts all software
which is using PC/SC interface.
I strongly
recommend to use it with PS/SC drivers,
unless you are able to do some very low level
programming yourself! The disadvantage of using
the PC/SC drivers is that programs using
native mode can not find the reader!
The following
software has to be installed to make it PC/SC
compatible.
Serial Driver
for the CyberMouse
PC/SC base
components
You must install
two files scbase.exe and smclib.exe.
You will find this files on this CD under
/cyberm/pcscbase.
You do not need to restart between running them.
The serial driver
can be fund under /cyberm/setup/serial/.
After correct
installation the cybermouse will turn on during
the boot of windows
Unstalling the
Cybermouse and Drivers
The uninstalling
can be a lot more difficult than doing the
installation and should only be done Because
you are confident in writing your own programs
directly communicating with the reader through
the serial port.
First run the
respectively uninstal programs in ADD/Remove
programs in the system.
If your CyberMouse
still initiates during boot then run the Registry
Editor, and remove all entries to following files
ZCTSRSER there are at least 3-4 entries
depending on version.
Programs for
the Cybermouse
PhoneFile Light
Pipistrel makes a
good free to download program which can be used
for reading out the content of a GSM SIM card. It
works very well, but you need to register it.
Download at http://www.pipistrel.com/phonefile
Smartcard
Manager
A program for
managing your smartcard readers, unless you have
more than one cardreader this program has little
value, except for the abillity to fool other
programs to identify the reader with new names,
and or disable the reader. The man writing the
program is Polish, and has a web site where you
can download it. He has also written a library of
Delphi components which he used for making the
smartcard manager. Read more at http://friko3.onet.pl/ld/vizyp
Card Easy
A program
especially made for the CyberMouse. Can read many
different kinds of memory cards and smartcards.
However You need to know exactly what you are
doing as you are directly in touch with the
commands to the card under the respectively ISO
protocol.
Download at http://www.iccard.com.cn/crw/cybermouse_e.htm
Basic Card
All the programs
for the BasicCard can also be used with the
CyberMouse. Just download the latest version from
http://www.basiccard.com/.
(remember to set
the port to PC/SC in the menu of the
debugger, then it will work with any PC/SC
reader /writer.
